After graduating with Valedictorian honors from Bradshaw Mountain High School in 2014, Irwin continued his baseball career at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. While there, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business analytics and worked in the admissions department for a year, all while working in the athletics department. His passion for athletics carried him to Augustana University right here in Sioux Falls where he worked as an assistant Sports Information Director and earned his master’s degree in Sports Administration and Leadership. Following his time in the Midwest, Irwin returned to his hometown of Prescott Valley, Arizona, where he became Yavapai College’s first-ever Sports Information Director, a position that he proudly served for three years to complete a decade in college athletics.

In the summer of 2024, Irwin and his wife, Katelyn, permanently settled in Sioux Falls and shortly thereafter, Irwin discovered his love for the mortgage business, under the direction of Dave Kelly. His communication skills, analytical and statistical background and innate ability to work productively after hours and on weekends, coupled with Fairway’s incredible support, have quickly helped Irwin become one of the most reliable and knowledgeable mortgages lenders in Sioux Falls. Once passionate about the student-athletes that he worked for, that passion now resides in helping his clients navigate the mortgage process through the most pivotal moments in their lives.
